IDIS VMS provides centralized monitoring to MGI
Red Office Supplies proposed VMS IDIS Solution Suite (ISS) as the ideal platform for a secure and gradual migration from the previous video system to the new scalable solution, without interrupting live monitoring or recording.
Meghna Group (MGI) Protect your production facilities and improve your efficiency with IDIS video solution. This responds to the surveillance requirements that required a centralized control of the various industrial operations.
It is one of the most important industrial conglomerates in Bangladesh. Its portfolio includes chemicals, Food Processing, Consumer Products, cement production, Transportation & Utilities.
Your division Meghna Sugar Refinery operates a factory with a production capacity of 3.000 tons per day. It uses the latest automated production processes to ensure low ambient humidity and consistent product purity.
MGI wanted to transform its Video Surveillance Capabilities at the sugar refinery to provide your operation with safety 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Complete visibility without blind spots.
Priority areas for video coverage included the extensive perimeters and entrances, The warehouses, loading docks and production areas. The aim was to ensure the integrity of production, Maintain a complete record of events and prevent intrusion or unauthorized activity.
MGI also wanted to establish a scalable, forward-thinking platform for the Centralized monitoring across all MGI operations, with the ability to perform remotely from the sugar factory control room.
A priority for the proposed upgrade was to reduce VMS licensing and operational costs, while preserving existing video infrastructure, which included hundreds of third-party cameras and video walls, and integrate all the equipment into the new solution.
A complete infrastructure
The IDIS Partner, Red Office Supplies, has been the company responsible for the project that proposed the VMS IDIS Solution Suite (ISS) as the ideal platform for a secure and gradual migration from the previous video system to the new scalable solution without interrupting live monitoring or recording.
The update has included more than 600 new IDIS cameras, Including 193 Full-HD infrared bullet cameras And 290 infrared bullet cameras 5 Mp.
With infrared night vision up to 30 meters and real WDR, ensure crisp and clear image capture, even in difficult lighting conditions. They are IP67 rated for harsh environmental conditions, Two-way audio and PoE for efficient installation.
Also, available Fisheye Cameras IDIS 5 Mp, that ensure cost-effective, wide-area HD video coverage of critical locations without blind spots.
Red Office has also integrated 300 IP cameras additional third-party solutions with ISS VMS, which has allowed better control and monitoring from an existing video wall.
To ensure continuous recording, The Service Module IDIS Critical Failover Provides an inherent native dual power supply and failover, and the NVR IDIS Provide 30 Recording days with RAID redundancy 5, ensuring MGI that there will be no interruptions in the footage.
IDIS DirectIP has enabled efficient plug-and-play installation, while ISS has enabled easy integration of third-party technology with full ONVIF support to incorporate existing third-party cameras.
Efficiency and minimal costs
Thanks to the enhanced surveillance solution, Meghna Group's security operation has become significantly more efficient. The company estimates a productivity gain of at least 30 %.
The tools of Quick AI Search are proving particularly useful, as they allow you to find incident images much more quickly.
The solution also guarantees MGI low operating costs, No license renewal fees, prohibitive costs to expand the system and no hidden extras. The system is also future-proof, with the promise of forward and backward IDIS product compatibility and IDIS federated architecture that will make it easy for MGI to scale and monitor additional locations from its control room.
“Our IDIS video solution implemented by Red Office Supplies is more affordable, powerful and easy to expand than any of the alternatives we analyzed. It provides a reliable platform that has strengthened our safety and security measures to support MGI's growth plans”, explains Maniruzzaman Chowdry, Deputy General Manager of IT, MGI Group.
