Toshiba S300 Pro

With capacities of up to 10 TB and twice the buffer size, The new hard disk drives from Toshiba Electronics Europe use conventional magnetic recording technology and allow recording, store and analyze video streams up to 64 high definition cameras.

Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched the new generation of S300 Pro Hard Drives, aimed at meeting the most demanding requirements in the storage market for Video surveillance.

With capacities of up to 10 TB and twice the buffer size, upgraded HDDs use Conventional magnetic recording (Cmr) and allow integrators, installers and end users of video surveillance systems record, store and analyze video streams up to 64 high definition cameras (Hd).

The S300 Pro video surveillance hard drives from 3,5 inches are highly modular, are available with capacities of 4, 6, 8 And 10 Tb, and admit up to 24 Bays, making them an ideal solution for large-scale video recording systems as they offer reliable operation, Even in the most demanding environments.

Compared to the previous generation, the new S300 Pro provide a maximum sustained transfer speed of 268 MiB/s and double the cache buffer size up to 512MiB. The S300 Pro HDD units also reduce energy consumption, Improving Total Cost of Ownership (Tco).

With one operation 24/7, an improved annual workload of 300 TB and mean time to failure (MTTF) up to 1,2 millions of hours, S300 Pro Can Meet the Growing Demands for Video Analytics of Mission-Critical Video Surveillance Recordings.

The new generation of S300 Pro units are specially optimized for large-scale video surveillance operations, where advanced video analytics, Facial recognition and editing are critical functions; and it also offers a better performance, Durability and reliability 24/5 Improved”, explains Larry Martínez-Palomo, Vice President and Head of Storage Products Division, Toshiba.
