The Anahuac University Querétaro has carried out the renovation and improvement of its security infrastructure, with the implementation of an innovative, Advanced and efficient, composed of network cameras, Speakers and speakers, Intercoms and access control with advanced Axis analytics. Thanks to this, the educational center has set a new standard and has positioned it as a pioneer in the use of this type of technology within the educational sector in Mexico.
From 2019, the Anahuac Querétaro University committed to renovate and improve the security of its facilities, as part of its commitment to providing the best education and safest environment for its community. To achieve this, allied with Guardian Alarms Group, who were in charge of developing the design and engineering for the placement of the security solutions.
"We started a long-term project, whose objective was to replace the video surveillance tools that existed at the time, with technological solutions that would allow us to supervise all areas, as classrooms, offices and common spaces", explains Francisco Reyes, security manager and head of general services at the Anahuac University Querétaro Campus.
For its part, Eric D. tanned, Corporate Project Manager at Grupo Alarmas Guardian, He stresses that "a unified video surveillance system was required, focused on the detection and identification of threats within the university. This new solution required tools that would provide high-quality video streaming for forensic analysis, which would help with crime mitigation and prevention, while reducing response times".
Both Anáhuac Querétaro and Alarmas Guardian chose Axis Communications' solutions and technology, whose Cameras, Speakers, Intercoms and access controls make use of advanced data and analytics based on artificial intelligence. These tools allow people to be monitored in public spaces, as well as play pre-recorded messages that help improve access control and communication throughout the campus. The result of these improvements has been the reduction of incidents and risk situations for approximately 10.000 People.
"The implementation of cutting-edge solutions has not only raised the standards of security on campus, but also demonstrates the transformative potential of technology in protecting communities. This represents a significant moment in our mission to strengthen safety focused on educational environments," adds Francisco Reyes.
This security project is of great importance for the education sector, since it has been possible to install more than 600 New cameras on campus, and has contributed to the improvement of the infrastructure dedicated to security in general, allowing students, faculty and staff develop in a safer academic environment, Productive and reliable.
