Hikvision opens a European cybersecurity center in the Netherlands

The CyberSafe Experience Center Hikvision provides visitors with hands-on experience on cyber threats affecting IoT devices and how to mitigate them and protect users.

Hikvision Europe has inaugurated a CyberSafe Experience Center at its headquarters in Hoofddorp (Netherlands) as part of its ongoing commitment to cybersecurity. It is designed to highlight the most common vulnerabilities in IoT devices and methods to mitigate them.

This state-of-the-art facility, Open to the public, aims to inform visitors about the Cybersecurity Threats and how to counter them, with hands-on demonstrations of technology and methodology. It also highlights how the security of Hikvision devices starts in the design phase, and the safety standard is maintained throughout its service life. The aim of this new centre, as stated by the company, is to build trust, Increase visibility and awareness, and improve cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.

"The world of devices connected to IoT and the increasing interaction between devices requires a vigilant ecosystem that ensures cybersecurity protection. That's why we're opening the new European experience center CyberSafe, so that customers and partners can see how Hikvision uses cybersecurity design and tools to ensure device security", Explains Rob Janssens, Director of Cybersecurity at Hikvision Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea).
