Hexagon A8V Mind offers precise mobile surveillance for outdoor areas

The Geosystems division of Hexagon has developed a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system, called A8V Mind; an all-in-one outdoor solution that provides flexible surveillance of critical infrastructure and objects.

Accur8vision of Hexagon is a volumetric detection system that uses LiDAR technology to protect large areas. Whenever motion is detected in a specified area, automatically differentiates a threat from what is not, and immediately notify security personnel if necessary.

With this base, the Geosystems division from Hexagon has created A8V Mind (mobile intrusion detection), a portable version of Accur8vision that can solve complex but temporary security demands in various sectors in outdoor areas.

The people detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device, which is connected by a portable computing device to remote surveillance and does not depend on the security personnel who patrol the area.

The staff on site You can have the A8V Mind portable surveillance system up and running in a matter of minutes at a new location, establishing surveillance perimeters effortlessly. It's light, so one person can easily transport and install it in different places.

Hexagon A8V Mind applications include protecting parked aircraft, the security of police interventions, temporary protection during pipeline alterations and access control to temporarily dangerous areas, like substations, thermal power plants and water plants.
