Hikvision obtains the CC EAL3+ certificate for its network cameras
More than a hundred models of the solutions of Hikvision have the CC EAL3+, which represents the highest level of safety certification granted to products in the video security category.
The network camera series DS-2CD5, DS-2CD7 And Ptz Version 1.1 of Hikvision have obtained the Certificate of Common Criteria for the Assessment of information technology security (Common Criteria o CC) with the EAL3 warranty rate increased with ALC_FLR.2 (EAL3+).
Common Criteria certification is mainly applied to the assessment of the safety and reliability of information technology products or solutions, but also focuses on the protection of private information. The certificate CC EAL3+ represents the highest level of safety certification granted to products in the video security category.
Recognized as one of the most prestigious international standards (ISO/IEC 15408) on information technology security, Common Criteria certification is endorsed by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP), under the U.S. Department of Defense.
In the Agreement on the Recognition of Common Criteria (CCRA) have participated in organizations or government agencies of 31 Countries, including the United States, United Kingdom and Canada; making it an important standard for evaluating information technology security. In addition, as part of the process required to obtain the Common Criteria certificate, Hikvision has passed the evaluation carried out by the laboratory SGS Brightsight, globally recognized institution.
