Vivotek provides surveillance to a century-old Japanese brewery
The comprehensive solution designed by Vivotek Understand 260 Devices (200 IB9368-HT cameras, 50 FE9391-EHV and 10 PoE network devices) which are managed through VAST video management software 2.
A well-known Japanese brewery, recognized for its sake, shochu, plum wine, beer and flavorings, has opted for the solutions of Vivotek to update your surveillance solutions, improve cost control and maximize product safety.
This century-old business operates five large-scale breweries in Japan and continues to expand. To ensure product safety, the Japanese brewery is committed to improving the rigor of the process. In this context, realized the growing inadequacy of its surveillance system and recognized the need to replace its infrastructure.
Not all surveillance solutions as hardware, video management software and system within breweries needed to be replaced. This is why it needed an open system, with cross-brand compatibility, to reduce overhead without sacrificing operational efficiency.
The Japanese brewery opted for fisheye cameras to reduce the number of equipment. However, most fisheye cameras currently marketed are image-based and lack real-time surveillance capability. More importantly,, because the brewery operated in various locations throughout Japan, an online management platform was needed to consolidate the infrastructure.
Vivotek devised a comprehensive solution that comprises 260 Devices (Including 200 Cameras IB9368-HT, 50 FE9391-EHV And 10 PoE network devices) managed using video management software VAST 2.
The platform is compatible with cameras of other ONVIF brands and has useful built-in functions, such as real-time warnings and video playback. This facilitates ad-hoc and post-hoc searches, providing unrestricted control and improving management efficiency. .
The IB9368-HT bullet-type network cameras and the FE9391-EHV 360° fisheye net cameras have been installed inside the establishments to monitor the processes of the production line.
The IB9368-HT camera features a remote focus lens that can be adjusted for different segments of the production line. Also supports dynamic scaling for more detailed process control, what improves food security.
For its part, FE9391-EHV camera can cover areas that, otherwise, would require 2 To 3 cameras without fisheye. That's why, were installed in the new production line of the Japanese brewery to comprehensively monitor the filling processes, packaging and palletizing of bottles.
Both models feature Vivotek's WDR Pro and Smart Stream III technologies, reliably provide high-quality images of production lines, even in contrasting environments. In addition, support for H.265 compression technology reduces bandwidth usage by up to one 90 %, which frees up storage space.
In this case, Vivotek partnered with ForceMedia And Actuni to ensure seamless integration/upgrade. After the results obtained, the Japanese brewery plans to add even more products from this manufacturer in the near future to maximize food safety and process integrity.
