Eagle Eye helps in the digital transformation of the city of Elche
In order to solve security challenges and make better use of the personnel resources of the city of Elche, Aryse It has repurposed existing cameras to create a modern cloud-based urban video surveillance system with Eagle Eye Networks.
The Spanish city of Elche It is undertaking a digital transformation to solve the security challenges facing the city.
Managing incidents using complex IT systems had been a constant challenge for the IT staff at the Elche City Council.
When the pandemic hit, Telecommuting was imposed, and it became clear that many of the systems could not be performed remotely, making it difficult to quickly handle security incidents.
In collaboration with Aryse Infrastructures, the project improved the safety of the citizens of Elche, while making better use of the city's limited staffing resources.
Aryse repurposed existing cameras from different manufacturers to create a cloud-based video surveillance system of Eagle Eye Networks, Transforming outdated and disparate components into a powerful security system.
Municipal officials decided to upgrade their video surveillance system for greater ease of use, Camera Visibility, Remote Video Access, Instant Security Incident Notifications and Alerts, Ability to share images with police and other city departments and simple, cost-effective maintenance. In addition, I was looking for a flexible and scalable solution.
The Vms (video management system) in the Eagle Eye Networks cloud could reuse existing cameras in the city, even if they were from different manufacturers; Storage retention requirements were easily met; and the different resolutions of the cameras (depending on equipment and location) were set up quickly. The project involved moving 100 cameras to the cloud.
In the next five years, The city plans to expand the system to more than 250 Cameras, Applying Artificial Intelligence (The) to better investigate incidents. It will use the system's parking and traffic flow data for city planning and infrastructure improvement. There will also be direct integrations with police and firefighters to speed up incident response.
"The cloud really fits. In addition to creating a powerful security and business intelligence tool, Cloud Video Surveillance Can Reduce Cost and Complexity, while reducing the number of workers needed to maintain safety systems.", Says Rishi Lodhia, Managing Director, Eagle Eye Networks EMEA.
This installation has been awarded the Spain Security Forum Award 2021 for Best Security Project.
