Hikvision performs the race control of the Ricardo Tormo circuit
The security infrastructure of Hikvision, that has been installed in the Ricardo Tormo Circuit of Cheste, It is integrated by cameras that capture every detail of the races; a recording system; and real-time visualization through a video wall and individual checkpoints.
The Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste (Valence) has trusted in Hikvisión to install the stroke control system. A solution that takes care of the management both from the sports point of view, as in the field of physical security of all persons involved, mainly pilots and track stewards.
The Hikvision installation is composed of three subsystems. The first of these is the capture of images. The cameras, who are responsible for following the vehicles without losing sight of them at any time, both on track and in the box, and to control the limits of the track to ensure that the drivers do not take illegal advantage in the corners.
The versatility and precision of the cameras (2MP IP PTZ, IP box 2 Mp, next to the embarked ones that are in the cranes and the body ones that can be carried by the track commissioners) allow you to obtain clear and real-time images of any point of the circuit.
Secondly, the entire recording part, with a powerful NVR from Hikvision with 128 video inputs and a storage capacity of 16 disk drives up to 10 TB each, that offers redundancy and all the agility necessary to carry out in a few seconds the checks that the competition requires.
And thirdly, the display system. Screens, whose main component is a large videowall, composed of 12 screens of 55 lcd inches, and individual checkpoints from which an operator can choose the most appropriate image at any given time, with monitors of 27 Inch.
The software that allows to manage the entire system and that speeds up the interaction between all the elements that make up the solution is HikCentral, a very powerful tool but, at the same time, very intuitive and easy to use.
"The particularity of the motor world is the speed of the vehicles and the speed of decision-making.. That is why we need technological equipment of very high quality and that allows you to react quickly in any circumstance.. And Hikvision has provided them to us.", recognizes Gabriel Berruga, sports manager of the Ricardo Tormo de Cheste circuit.
Analog-to-digital migration
Before Hikvision's intervention, the facilities had an analog system, which made a technological change necessary, as required by international motorsport federations. The new equipment (integrated by cameras, Recorders, display systems and management software) had to face the challenge of high definition: perfect visibility of all points of the circuit at all times.
"Capture images with maximum precision and sharpness of vehicles that circulate at 300 kilometers per hour has been a great challenge. We have taken full advantage of the sophisticated imaging technology of our equipment and systems.", Summarizes David Gomez, Director of Business Development at Hikvision Iberia.
