With the learning and legacy of last June's edition in Barcelona, the quote from Ise 2022 in February marks the reunion of the AV and integration industry in which, as Mike Blackman assures, CEO of Integrated Systems Events, “we want everyone to come and reconnect and ignite the future safely”.

Business and fairs must continue, and despite a very difficult international situation, the organization of Integrated Systems Europe (Ise) managed to perform this year, last June and for the first time in this fairground, a safe and successful edition in Fira de Barcelona with a hybrid format.

With that learning and legacy, Mike Blackman faces with a positive vision the next appointment of the contest in 2022, of the 1 To 4 February in the Catalan capital; a safe reunion with all the measures at your disposal, at a vital time for the industry and its return to face-to-face fairs.

“We know that people are still nervous about the situation., and we will do our best to really manage the safety and health of the people who come to the fair, but we also know that everyone wants to get back together.. We want everyone to rise up to reconnect and ignite the future in Barcelona in February 2022”, blackman points out.

The organization, who has visited Spain and the Fira Barcelona venue several times, is constantly monitoring the health situation, national and international, and in collaboration with all those responsible to ensure the most effective safety plans against COVID-19 in February 2022.

In favor of the security of the contest is not only the experience acquired in the June edition, but the recognition of the security policy followed by those responsible for the fairgrounds. Among the possible measures to be adopted would be the use of a mask, physical distancing, gels throughout the enclosure, but access with the vaccination code or negative test that is still being evaluated.

Digital visitor registration

One of the innovations in this regard for ISE 2022 is the visitor registry itself, no need for paper, in the form of digital credentials issued through the new application of the contest, that not only improves the safety and security for the visitor, it speeds up entry and will also be a source of information and additional content.

With all this, Blackman stresses that “our slogan 'Get up and reconnect’ is in line with what the industry tells us; What we have to do something to get everyone back to business to stand up and really prove that we are not dead; that as an industry we have survived this pandemic, So what, as an industry, we will grow and learn from it”.

That's why, this director insists that the celebration of ISE 2022 is more necessary than ever, “takes place at a very important time for the industry. It has become the beginning of the year: there are many product launches, many ads, fits into the sales cycle for integrators, in budget cycles for many companies. So it's ideal in terms of time of year. Obviously, last year we had to postpone the event due to the pandemic, but what is happening is that many companies have missed the launch of new products.”.

In this preparation of the contest, together with its co-owners Avixa And Cedia, the organization is working “in creating assets within the show to showcase a little creativity of what our industry can do. In terms of exhibitors we have almost seven hundred confirmed and there are many more who have registered. The normal ISE has always had up to 1.300 Exhibitors, we will not reach that number, but we will have a very big fair in terms of space and will continue to be the largest audiovisual fair in the world”, says Blackman

Distributed in five pavilions of Fira de Barcelona – Gran Via, the fairground has also been organized in five Technological Zones to offer a better experience to visitors, structured with wide corridors for ensure distance and an easy-to-navigate design.
