Dallmeier integrates new interfaces into its Hemisphere platform
The Hemisphere software platform from the German manufacturer Dallmeier now has an extensive portfolio of interfaces for the integration of third-party systems.
Thanks to the deep integration of this wide range of interfaces in Hemisphere, the manufacturer of video security systems Dallmeier offers users a multitude of possibilities of data exchange and control, with optimal information flows and efficient work processes.
To access third-party systems, many of the systems of video management and market-available security platforms are limited, For example, to 'embed’ the user interface in your own software using iFrames.
Since users still have to control the systems separately, this procedure is often insufficient. It's not just that it's difficult to accurately represent and follow temporal and spatial links., in addition, customers often find it difficult to determine whether there are unwanted data flows from the VMS to third-party systems or loss of performance..
Not all integrations are the same
With Dallmeier's Hemisphere open software platform, the integration of third-party systems is always carried out with the aim of achieving optimal data integration.
This integration is oriented exactly to each of the required applications; Filters, efficiently sorts and locates data from other software infrastructures and brings it together from different sources in a Hemisphere system.
This approach allows for very thorough integration, e.g. access control systems or intrusion alarms, as "active objects" with numerous options for the data exchange and control of third-party systems from Hemisphere.
Extensive interface portfolio
The integration is done through the module Hemisphere Data Interface (DIM), offering a variety of Plugins that enable further processing of states and event messages from connected systems, as well as control commands to them.
Includes Plugins for standardized protocols in the area of IoT/Industry 4.0 (e.g.. MQTT, OPC UA) E inmotic (BACnet, KNX) and miscellaneous Plugins For communication protocols Owners.
As for access control systems, as Grosvenor Sateon Advance, Interflex IF-6040, Paxton Net2 V6 or Software House C•Cure 9000, are now fully integrated into Dallmeier Hemisphere.
In the case of fire detection systems, it is currently possible to integrate a wide range of these systems through Schraner Smartryx, as well as integrating different point of sale systems.
Additionally, there is the option to send to Dallmeier Hemisphere or collect events and alarms on this platform, so that it is possible to integrate more applications and develop customer-specific interfaces.
To do this, the option is available through a Rest interface standardized or an Active MQ Message Broker, that supports industry-standard protocols, such as OpenWire, Stomp, MQTT and WebSocket.
Optimized processes
“An open platform means responding to the specific customer and developing a solution for him, according to our business motto 'making things easier'’ – Says Norbert Niggemann, director software development of Dallmeier, in the attached image-. The Plugins Hemisphere Data Interface allows connected systems to transmit their states (door open/closed...) and event messages (fire alarm, Intrusion, Etc.) to our software for viewing”.
Thanks to this integration, adds this expert, “users automatically see the appropriate camera image when an intrusion alarm system event originates. Using 'active objects', systems can be controlled via Hemisphere Active Objects Map“.
Among other advantages for the customer, Niggemann stands out “shorter response times, adaptable and transparent workflows, as well as streamlined security and business processes, among others”.
