Dahua provides access control and capacity management to Conad supermarkets

The Italian subsidiary of Dahua has deployed its access control system, with capacity management and temperature measurement functions, in the supermarket chain Conad, one of the largest in Italy.

With the aim of creating a safer and more comfortable space for customers and employees to avoid contagion, the supermarket chain Conad, one of the most important in Italy, has selected the safety manufacturer's temperature and capacity control solution Dahua Technology.

Through the Italian subsidiary and We Tech, Dahua distributor in this country, two access control terminals have been installed in one of the Conad supermarkets ASI7213X-V1-T1 with the functionalities of temperature control and mask detection in the store (one at the main entrance of the building and one at the pharmacy entrance).

These terminals, with artificial intelligence technology (The), automatically control the body temperature to allow the entry of customers who do not exceed the established in the health regulations and wearing the mask.

In case an elevated temperature is detected in a person or does not wear a mask, a sound alarm is activated to alert the store staff, in addition to sending an instant notification.

The capacity control of the store is managed with the installation of two cameras IPC-HDW5541TM-AS, each with a resolution of 5 Megapixel, artificial intelligence and people counting technology, along with a network recorder NVR5208-8P-4KS2-V2.

The cameras have been installed at the entrance and exit of the store to carry out a control and count of people in real time of the customers that the establishment has at that time, according to the number of people previously established to be inside.

Once this limit has been reached, the system prevents any other access by displaying the exact maximum capacity data on the high-definition monitors LM24-F211 of 24″, located at the entrance of the store, as well as a message that they have to wait outside.

In addition, an eight-channel recorder with an equal number of PoE ports integrates the operation of the entire system and manages the data of the transmissions of the installed devices and the functionality of the people count of the cameras.

In addition to these functions, Dahua's access control terminals also allow you to unlock the door using facial recognition, through an employee card, with a password or with a combination of these options to allow access to a restricted zone such as the store, reducing theft and loss of material.

IP cameras with counting functionality installed in these supermarkets also provide perimeter protection, video analytics and a complete video surveillance, even under extreme lighting conditions.
