Flir Systems Quasar Premium: video surveillance for demanding environments
Quasar Premium Mini-Dome and Bullet cameras offer forensic image quality and advanced cybersecurity features, functions needed for video surveillance in critical infrastructures, remote facilities and large areas that require close surveillance.
As part of its line of security cameras Quasar Premium, Flir Systems has designed two indoor and outdoor models for video surveillance in demanding environments, in format Mini-Dome And Bullet.
Teams that offer forensic image quality, as well as tight integration and advanced cybersecurity features, necessary functions for critical infrastructure sites, remote facilities and large areas that require close surveillance.
The new Quasar Premium Mini-Dome and Bullet line offers the highest quality video surveillance, providing optimal performance for forensic review.
The Quasar Premium Mini-Dome sere is available with 5MP HD or 4K Ultra-HD resolutions and the Bullet Quad HD and 4K Ultra-HD 4MP series, along with a variety of lens options for extended range performance for perimeter safety.
Both cameras feature an SD card for edge recording and redundancy, while meeting the H.265 video compression standard to minimize network bandwidth and storage space.
Discreet surveillance
The versatile Quasar Premium Mini-Dome series is IP66 rated for protection against dust and moisture, and can be mounted on the ceiling or wall.
In low-light conditions it can provide up to 40 meters of visibility through the infrared light that incorporates. The wide dynamic range (Wdr) improved three shutters (130Db) provides an optimal balance of light in scenarios with light and dark spots.
The camera has a vandal-proof IK10 rating and is available with an optional smoke bubble accessory that is used to hide the camera position.
Greater range in difficult conditions
The Quasar Premium Bullet series is also vandal-proof IK10 and is designed to be permanently installed, normally mounted on a pole, for video surveillance.
Covers up to 60 meters of visibility through the infrared lighting it incorporates and also features three-shutter WDR (130Db).
The camera is IP67 rated for protection against dust and water, while offering an expanded operating temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius for use in extreme conditions.
Improved security and flexibility
Like other Quasar products, Bullet and Mini-Dome editions include security protocols and additional cybersecurity improvements. These features include protection against login attacks, hardware and software authentication, encrypted communication to help keep facilities safe from cyber threats.
They maintain compatibility with open platforms and can be used with a variety of third-party VMS or Flir United VMS solutions. They also include two-way audio and operator control of input/output devices for remote monitoring and event response.
To further reduce cost of ownership and ease of installation, cameras include Flir's ecosystem of accessories and assembly. Cameras are compatible with the network of 1 GB to improve transmission and reduce bandwidth issues.
Both cameras also include custom streaming options for live and recorded video, including adjusting frame output per second and encoding for additional streams.
