Gesab equips innovative emergency management centre in Saudi Arabia
Equipped with 113 Positions, this facility located in the city of Al Ula has the latest technology to maintain the safety of citizens and visitors with all the guarantees, as it is a tourist center.
Al Ula is a city in northwestern Saudi Arabia, historically located on the incense route and on which Hegra Al Ula is located, an ancient walled city, made up of adobe and stone houses, which was the first place named a Unesco World Heritage Site in this country.
With this intention, Al Ula's Royal Commission has created the tourism and cultural development project, which has set a goal of attracting more than two million visitors to the area for the year 2035. A development that has brought with it new infrastructures in which security is paramount.
One of the first actions in this regard has been the creation and branding of an operations center 911, from which all the critical and emergency situations of the city are managed. This facility has five control rooms to house a total of 123 jobs of different kinds, from reception for emergency services to CCTV control operators.
Gesab has been the company chosen for this project, in which he has worked continuously with the end customer to design a tailor-made solution adapted to the interpersonal distance required by the pandemic, within very restrictive deadlines.
In this joint process to define the solution, a preliminary design was made in which Gesab bet on the Advantis Evolution control console, but customized and adapted to the technical and development needs of the center's work, designed for high-value-added technology environments, thanks to its unlimited capacity for configurations and ergonomics 24/7.
Supplied by Martin Pro middle East and project integrator, the room has a large video wall with Led Barco technology on the front wall, visible from all angles of this space, with a pixel pitch of 1,5 Mm.
Another of the customer's requirements for the center was to include acoustic barriers between operators to improve their space and ergonomics, "an element that has been grateful in these times of pandemic, by providing a physical barrier between very large jobs that promote and facilitate separation between people directly", point from the company.
Since the end of the whole process of center tuning "the results have been exceptional, they explain from Gesab-. The customer has managed several mass events in the area through the new control center, in addition to a considerable amount of casuistics with very positive results".
The operators of the centre have also provided very good opinions on the infrastructure that has been provided to them to develop their work. Gesab highlights participation in the implementation of this emergency management centre "which in a few years will be one of the most important in Saudi Arabia".
