Richetti renews its security systems with Bosch technology

Three Aviotec devices have been deployed in the critical areas of the plant. In addition, has a surveillance system that includes 20 Flexidome IP starlight cameras 7000 VR with Video Analytics and a Divar IP solution 3000 running the BVMS.

After suffering a serious fire in one of the production plants, Richetti had to make changes to the security and protection systems he had installed in all locations. The solution was found in the technology of Bosch Security Systems.

The main objective was to achieve precise control and total surveillance of the interior of the logistics department, but installing a reliable system to protect the plant from external intrusion; preventing fires in the production area was also crucial.

The detection of fires by means of Aviotec video was one of the first proposals for the early and reliable detection of smoke and flames, since the system has a unique physical detection model that guarantees reliable differentiation between disturbances and real fires, thus providing a reliable solution against costly false alarms.

After a test phase that demonstrated the functionality of this solution, three Aviotec devices were installed in the critical areas of the plant: two cameras on the production line and one in the warehouse, close to cardboard stock.

Protection of critical areas

The plant's surveillance system was outdated and limited, therefore, could not ensure security or protect operations. A high-performance video surveillance system was installed that included twenty Flexidome IP starlight cameras 7000 VR with Video Analytics, both for perimeter protection and indoor surveillance of critical areas, such as the warehouse and the logistics area.

Most of the perimeter is low in light, but that's no challenge for Bosch cameras, which offer clear images the 24 hours of the day, even at night or in low-light conditions thanks to sensor technology combined with noise suppression, resulting in high color sensitivity (Until 0,017 Lx) and in monochrome mode (Until 0,0057 Lx).

A Divar IP system has been installed in the company's control room 3000 that runs the Bosch Video Management System solution (BVMS) complete, so that Richetti can guarantee high safety standards to its international partners. This device uses an integrated design of great energy efficiency.

On the other hand, Bosch Video Management System manages all IP and digital video and audio, in addition to the security data that is transmitted over the IP network. Combines IP cameras and encoders, provides system-wide event and alarm management, monitoring the status of the system and management of users and priorities.
