AeroCovid combines drones and AI algorithms for capacity control and beach surveillance
Aerocámaras and the Technological Institute of Galicia have developed this security solution for the counting of people and compliance with physical distance on beaches in the current process of de-escalation to the 'new normal'.
AeroCovid beach surveillance system is based on the drone specialist's equipment Aerochambers and in the artificial intelligence algorithm (The) developed by the Technological Institute of Galicia (ITG), integrated into these unmanned aerial vehicles to collect real-time information on the capacity of people in a specific outdoor public space, in this case on a beach, and the physical distance between them in a space.
The results provided by AeroCovid in counting and measurement have an accuracy of more than 90%, according to data from this Galician company, based in the municipality of Lalín (Pontevedra), which allows to guarantee safety standards and avoid crowds that do not encourage contagion by the virus during the de-escalation process and the return to normality.
The drone company also guarantees people's privacy, since the images are blurred when processing the information, as well as the confidentiality of the data, since the application of this surveillance solution by municipalities and security forces is used to prevent spread and comply with protection regulations.
For each project, Aerocameras, which has a drone pilot school, Conduct a study of each outdoor space and beach (most of them already open and in some cases parceled out) to accurately establish the capacity size and how to establish drone surveillance, The routes to follow, Etc. to get the data that is required to maintain security.
