CIAS FSTD: latest evolution in microwave barriers for outer perimeter protection
The Ermo 482X Pro 3.0, marketed by ProdexTec, incorporates this technology, crucial for protection in high-risk locations. Thanks to the digital analysis and modulation of its 16 channels is ideal for being installed in nuclear power plants, Prisons, military sites or petrochemical industries.
CIAS Elettronica is an Italian company operating in the security market since 1974, in the field of research, development and manufacture of security equipment and perimeter protection systems.
Your Ermo 482X Pro device, marketed by ProdexTec in Spain and Portugal, is the digital microwave barrier with a range that goes from 50 to the 500 Meters. Thanks to the digital analysis and modulation of its 16 channels is ideal for being installed in the protection of very high-risk sites such as nuclear power plants, Prisons, military sites, petrochemical industries, Etc.
One of the most important features of this barrier is the type of dynamic analysis (Fuzzy logic) who performs. This, added to the modulation of its channels, makes it impossible to mask the signal, in addition to letting you know if there are any barrier failures.
Dynamic analysis also includes a constant temperature and ambient noise probe to increase the veracity of alarms.
The Ermo 482X Pro 3.0 includes FSTD technology, which is especially important for distances greater than 50 Meters.
FSTD combines two types of technologies. On the one hand, dynamic analysis (or fuzzy logic) and objective discrimination in order to adapt the protection lobe to the perimeter on which the barriers are installed.
In microwave barriers parabolic antennas are often used as compared to sectoral or elliptical antennas, the signal obtained is of higher quality, which is paramount in the perimeter security sector.
This type of antennae creates a large lobe, even if this is the team's ultimate goal, there are certain elements of the perimeter itself that could affect the operation of the sweeps (Fenced, Walls, Vegetation. Etc). It is right in such situations where FSTD is needed, because it allows to discriminate the outerest areas of the lobe, achieving an optimal signal level, without affecting these elements.
Among the accessories it has are IP-Doorway, alignment and configuration, Wave Test, MMD System and Atex cover.
IP-Doorway is an interface capable of making all CIAS digital detectors IP-ready. With a Cat5E FTP Ethernet cable it is possible to power the product, while managing, Remotely, alarm data and settings. This is an important economic advantage for the installer, because using a single cable, you'll be able to do pretty much everything more easily.
Ermo 482X Pro has an integrated audiovisual system that allows you to align and configure barriers in an extremely simple way. It also incorporates a function that allows you to know the actual volume of protection.
Wave Test is the software used to manage and parameterize Ermo 482x Pro smart barriers. Connecting locally or remotely can know the waveforms of the wave signal and values such as the battery level, the signal received, temperature, Etc.
The MMD system, with a range of 200 Meters, is a portable solution for rapid deployment using microwave barriers on tripods to create invisible detection zones, suitable for surveillance of sites considered at risk.
Barriers detect any intrusion attempts in the area and send a radio signal, of 500 meters a mile away thanks to an extra antenna, MMD control panel, located in a guard room or at a designated control center. Equipped with shielded cables and military connectors, this mobile system is easy to carry with a sturdy briefcase. Its power supply ensures autonomy of up to 10 Days.
The Ermo 482X Pro barrier is also available in anti-explosive version, especially for critical environments and situations that require special safety precautions, like gas stations, chemical factories, Distilleries, Etc.
Barriers are supplied in CESI certified explosion-proof boxes 01 Atex 036 (according to European regulations).
