Bosch equips Shenzhen Convention Center with a customized communication and security solution
This networked infrastructure is made up of 200 amplifiers and 425 hemidireccional speakers. Twenty-seven voice evacuation and public address systems are distributed in five control rooms and connected via IP networks. In addition, It has an intrusion alarm system and a thousand detectors.
In solo 40 Years, Shenzhen has grown from a small community to China's Silicon Valley. The metropolis on the Pearl River Delta lives up to this claim with the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center). The world's largest trade fair venue spans a total area of 1,6 million square meters.
The place offers around 500.000 square meters of exhibition space in 19 Rooms. This attracts a large number of visitors, but it also presents significant challenges in terms of security and communication.
In the event of an evacuation, The loudspeakers in the building would have to be powerful enough so that every visitor can clearly hear the emergency messages at the fairgrounds from more than 20.000 square meters. During normal operation, The PA system has to provide voice announcements and background music, reliable and high quality without echoing.
Bosch Security Systems has responded to the challenges posed by the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center with the hemidirectional loudspeaker. This contains 14 Speaker Drivers, which ensure that sound is radiated equally in all directions under the speaker and reduces sound reflection from the ceiling. Due to its large opening angle and high sound pressure level, ensures the intelligibility of sound and speech in an area of at least 700 square meters.
To avoid echo, The system uses a 'delay' principle, where the second speaker starts right after the first speaker once its sound has traveled the distance of 700 Meters. The third speaker starts with twice the 'delay' after the first speaker, and so on. In total, 425 devices were installed in the exhibition halls.
The speakers are connected to a voice evacuation system and Bosch PA system with professional sound quality. This system is particularly suitable for the requirements of the trade fair centre.
Flexible system architecture and IP connections ensure that music and information are transmitted selectively through the different rooms.
"The system needs to facilitate both building-specific audio cues and announcements so that visitors feel safe and comfortable in the huge building. For example, An advertisement in the pavilion 1 should not interfere with the music in the pavilion 2, except in an emergency”, comments Kevin XU, Product Marketing Manager at Bosch Security Systems China.
Based on these special construction requirements, The project team developed an integrated, fully networked solution. It is composed of 200 amplifiers and 425 hemidireccional speakers, designed exclusively for large complexes such as showrooms and almost 9.000 Different types of speakers, Column Included, Cabinet & Ceiling.
Twenty-seven voice evacuation and public address systems are distributed in five control rooms and connected via IP networks, as each room must be able to broadcast separately while centrally managed for joint broadcasts. In addition, Bosch has also equipped the facility with an intrusion alarm system and a thousand detectors, as protection against potential intruders.
