The manufacturer of security systems has donated twenty cameras to observe and investigate the lives of the two panda bears living in this facility.

blankDingding and Ruyi, two big panda bears that arrived last year Moscow Zoo from China, have become one of the great attractions of this facility, to which they have adapted without problems and where they receive not only the care and attention of their caregivers, but the affection of thousands of visitors, both in person and through the live broadcast to see how they grow.

To do this, the manufacturer of IP video surveillance systems Hikvision has donated twenty of its network cameras to the zoo, in order to facilitate the observation and research of giant pandas, at an event where Svetlana Akulova was present, director of Moscow Zoo, and Libbo Feng, president of Hikvision Russia&Cis.

Until now, the cameras that the zoo previously had and that were installed in the pavilion of these animals were not prepared to offer high-resolution videos or color images at night to respond to the demand for online broadcast audience, nearly a million people.

With Hikvision's IP video surveillance systems there is now this possibility and both visitors who come to Moscow Zoo and the audience that follows the evolution of Ruyi and Dingding over the Internet around the world can see them day and night and with high image quality.

blankAs Svetlana Akulova explains, the new cameras also allow professionals to (both from the centre itself and connected to the network) watch the pandas at night and record any changes in their behavior, which is of great importance for research, conservation and reproduction of this unique species.

Like this, during the donation ceremony, the new cameras captured the recognition of pandas by a breeder to broadcast it live. People from all over the world could see Ruyi climbing the scale to weigh himself, showed his teeth for the physical exam and stretched his foot fearlessly to take blood samples.

"Giant pandas are very friendly and peaceful animals; are one of China's main symbols and are often associated with trust, affability and harmony. Hikvision is committed to developing these values in our business", libbo Feng says.

blankFor online streaming, Hikvision has cloud service provider Trassir. "We are delighted that a large number of people have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Ruyi and Dingding pandas -continue Feng continues- and to help ensure their protection with our technology".

Installed Hikvision cameras integrate ColorVu technology, that allows the capture and transmission of images in high resolution and color 24/7, so that their followers can know more about the night activities of these animals.

blankThis is not the first time Hikvision has collaborated with its latest products and solutions to support environmental research and biodiversity, as happened also last year in the Russian region of Amur, with the installation of their high-resolution cameras in the nests of the eastern storks.

Thanks to the installation of these video surveillance devices, ornithologists and the public connecting to the Internet have witnessed the birth of fourteen storks of this rare species, as well as the moment they made their first flight.
