GJD Clarius infrared illuminators protect a solar farm in Cambridgeshire
These teams, marketed on the Iberian market by ProdexTec, work in conjunction with a CCTV system to provide greater security.
Covering large areas of land in rural areas, solar farms use large-scale photovoltaic solar panels to generate electricity, and your perimeter protection to protect these facilities is critical.
Clarius infrared illuminators from GJD, distributed by ProdexTec in Spain and Portugal, have been selected by the owners of a solar farm located in the English cambridgeshire area, as they were looking for intelligent sensing lighting and a closed circuit television solution for their photovoltaic installation of 13 Mw.
The requirements to carry out this project were a reliable safety lighting, even in adverse weather conditions; precise angular illumination and up to 95 meters away. Another important element was that the selected lighting used a very low energy consumption, but that did not compromise the quality and efficiency of the system.
The clarius medium infrared illuminator was the ideal lighting solution for this solar park, as it is specifically designed to provide a long service life with minimal maintenance. Incorporates the latest Led surface mount, with improved optical output and optimal reliability, in addition to providing high-quality night images: works in black and white or with day and night cameras, providing an invisible light for the human being, but fully visible to cctv camera.
Each Clarius unit is equipped with an integrated control circuit for the precise management of the output of the Led, providing consistent lighting for the solar farm and a lifespan of more than ten years. The degree of weather protection of the units is IP67 and the power consumption is low, 26 W, thus fulfilling the requirements established in the project.
