Cias Elettronica protects Milan car park from theft

To respond to security issues, it was decided to combine a perimeter protection system using fences along with a circuit of high-definition IP cameras. The option was the Sioux Mems solution distributed by ProdexTec.

Close to Milan Linate Airport is a four-star hotel belonging to one of the main hotel groups in Europe and the world.

The property began to have problems with guests following the car park where they left the cars during their stay. They suffered continuous intrusions by thieves who were interested in stealing small objects and who broke the windows and locks to get their loot. These thefts created disagreements with people staying at the hotel, that even if it covered repair costs, this one didn't used to be immediate.

Protecting parking became a priority. A risk assessment was made and the location was analysed. It was concluded that the best option was to combine a fence perimeter protection system together with a high-definition IP camera circuit.

The fence system chosen was the Sioux Mems of Cias Elettronica, brand marketed in Spain and Portugal through ProdexTec. It allows to detect the precise place where the intrusion occurs and go to the place to take the appropriate measures.

The highlight in this solution was the installation. Mems sensors and connection cables were mechanically protected by metal boxes and tubes, to protect them from tampering attempts. In addition, this protection reduces the maintenance costs with which the hotel has to run.

This project highlights how perimeter fence protection integrates all digital devices by minimizing the use of cables, without reducing security performance.
