Dahua pushes its 'Heart of city' concept to create safer cities
The HOC platform integrated into smart cities provides rapid emergency response and efficient support for crime investigation.
The concept Heart of city (Hoc) of Dahua Technology is a solution aimed at integrating all video surveillance solutions, public and corporate, of a municipality or city to drive intelligent threat detection and provide rapid emergency response, as well as to support crime investigation more efficiently.
The HOC concept is based on surveillance cameras installed on three critical lines of a city: Intermunicipal (Airports, train and bus terminals); Intramunicipal (around the municipality's internal circuit, criticism (for the most critical and sensitive places in the municipality, such as the headquarters of public bodies, Schools, Hospitals, Prisons, Etc).
The HOC solution calls for the implementation of two command centres within the same municipality, one to control the technology applied in one city and the other for the police operation of the system.
Powered by local police and supported by Big Data and artificial intelligence technologies, As Deep Learning, HOC's integrated command and control center can constantly update the system with data on suspicious people, search warrants, capture and seizure, and verifies them with images recorded by drones and video surveillance cameras in the city. In addition to a pre-alarm system, Dahua allows this smart platform to act pre-emptively.
As soon as the suspected crime wanted by police is detected by a cameraman in the intercity area trying to get out of town, the pre-alarm system is activated and police are notified. While the suspect is completely undercover, Dahua AI's line of cameras - developed in partnership with Intel- allows the physical characteristics of the latter to be recognized through Deep Learning, which improves the accuracy of solutions.
"We want to promote the development of a safe and intelligent city, so that municipal operations are more efficient and help safer and higher quality urban life for its inhabitants", Rodrigo Escamilla points out, BDM by Dahua Technology Mexico and CA.
The HOC concept is operational in hangzhou city (China), where it's already possible to find stolen cars, suspected offenders or even missing persons within minutes through a facial recognition search conducted by the monitoring centre.
“We believe that these five technologies: artificial intelligence, Big Data, cloud computing, IoT and 5G will allow Smart City 3.0 evolve and bring great changes to our lives," says Escamilla, so we want to use them to improve people's lifestyles and the infrastructure of cities, because our goal is to redefine the future of video monitoring".
