Total Spain renews its security infrastructure with Eulen and By Demes
This engine lubricant company has renovated the security infrastructure of its Valdemoro factory in Madrid with Vaelsys video analysis solutions and Dahua thermal and PTZ cameras.
The company Total Spain has a factory in Valdemoro (Madrid) of 34.600 square meters of surface, which specializes in motor lubricants, transmissions and hydraulics. This is the headquarters of the Lubricant Operations Department, located in the center of the Peninsula, To 30 km south of Madrid, a strategic position for the national distribution of goods, according to the company itself.
With extensive experience, produces more than 500 References, distributes more than 2.000 throughout the Iberian market, has a production/blending capacity of 60.000 Tm/year and manages more than 100.000 annual deliveries.
The security directorate decided to renew its infrastructure, integrated by an analog CCTV system for outdoors and another of intrusion barriers over perimeter fencing. A solution that produced a high rate of false alarms that caused the watchdog to have to patrol frequently, by receiving excessive alarm jumps at your checkpoint.
For the renewal of the system, Total Spain has relied on the solution offered by the installer Eulen Security, designed in conjunction with David Rico, Project Manager of the Department of Engineering and By Demes Group.
Both have worked together to study the project on plan and site visits, to finally opt for a video analytics solution Vaelsys with high-resolution visible spectrum and thermal cameras Dahua. The latter, along with PTZ domes also from Dahua, were strategically placed for preposition in the exact areas where the alarms of the analytical video system occur.
In turn, a new fiber-optic pipeline and a TCP/IP network were carried out, managed by l2+ industrial switches and a Dahua central switch. Ultra series NVRs from this same manufacturer were also installed, suitable for managing a large number of cameras, and the network load was balanced by two independent cards so as not to saturate Total Spain's infrastructure.
To control all indoor areas, Dahua visible cameras and two Dahua monitors were needed and Hyundai, of 49 And 30 Inch.
"There has been a leap in quality in terms of safety, as well as an increase in the perception of control of our tasks. Increasing checkpoints, the sharpest and thermal and analysis cameras make it easier to monitor and manage our facilities", comments Alejandro Aniorte. CSMA technician from Total Spain.
By Demes Group's Engineering and Projects team collaborated with Eulen Security on planning, development and supply of the complete system of the Valdemoro plant in Total Spain.
“By Demes' Engineering and Projects Department helped us design and approach the project. He commissioned all the analytics and camera management for the checkpoint, so that so, the watchdog always had a thorough control of the facility and an agile and effective operation. In addition, tracked remotely installed video analytics teams, to review their behavior and make the necessary adjustments", explains the systems engineer from the Eulen Security Center area.
