Optex IP infrared barriers protect large residential spaces in the Persian Gulf
The particular climatic conditions of the area have not been an impediment when it comes to deploying this perimeter protection solution that combines several technologies, as the active infrared.
Extreme temperatures in the Persian Gulf area can be a problem when using thermal detection systems to protect outdoor spaces from intruders. To solve this difficulty, Optex combines in its columns different technologies, including active infrared.
Specifically,, this technology is not based on the difference between human body temperature and environmental temperature for detection, which eliminates the problem that arises when using a thermal detection system.
"The combination of different detection technologies is very suitable for warm climates, and seamless integration with video management software platforms makes Optex columns the ideal solution", assures Gurav Mahajan, director of Optex's Middle East division.
To prevent the scorching sun from affecting ir beam performance, Optex has developed three layers of protection, which include a UV-resistant housing, an additional filter on photodiodes to ignore sunlight (but that it does receive the infrared light emitted by the transmitting beam) And, for some models, a 'double modulation' pulse pattern.
"With a detection range of up to 200 meters and the ability to group them into columns -explains Mahajan-, barriers provide a cost-effective option for perimeter protection of very extensive properties; they create a first layer of intrusion detection and are part of an overall security system".
To facilitate integration with an IP CCTV system, Optex IR beams have the option to use an IP system (PiE-1): generate incident alarms that are successfully integrated into video management software and PSIM platforms. Optex infrared barriers are marketed in the Spanish market through ProdexTec.
"Taking advantage of this connectivity, Optex prefabricated columns have proven to be an effective anti-anti-corruption system in several VIP villas and residences”, says Gaurav Mahajan.
