Alfasigma updates the safety and fire protection of Milan and Bologna offices

The pharmaceutical company has opted for Bosch technology and has installed, at both locations, Dinion IP cameras 5000 HD inside and Flexidome IP starlight 7000 VR Outdoors. This is complemented by the MAP intrusion panel 5000 and the MFP fire protection system 500 Series.

The Italian Pharmaceutical Company Alfasigma is dedicated to innovation in the healthcare sector. Headquartered in Bologna, The multinational corporation was created in 2017 by the merger between Alfa Wassermann and Sigma-Tau. In order to follow the continuous evolution of the company and, at the same time, Emphasizing Building Protection, Alfasigma decided to upgrade the infrastructure of its corporate offices in Milan and Bologna. This large-scale remodeling project also required the upgrade of fire alarm systems, Intrusion detection and video security at both locations.

Taking a long-term perspective, Alfasigma's management approached the project with three key requirements: Cost savings by reusing already installed system components, such as intrusion detectors and fire detection; Installation of a scalable and future-proof system; and add security to the 24 hours outside the building through modern security cameras designed for outdoor use.

Alfasigma commissioned Bosch Security Systems equipping the Milan office, International Division Headquarters, as well as the corporate headquarters in Bologna with an IP-based solution.

The video surveillance system includes Dinion IP high-definition cameras 5000 Hd, connected to recording stations that deliver 1080p resolution images at 30 Fps.

On the outside of buildings, Flexidome IP starlight cameras have been installed 7000 VR for security 24/7. When recording at 1080p and 60 Fps, cameras incorporate Starlight technology to provide relevant images, even in difficult light conditions.

Extremely weather-resistant, waterproof and able to withstand high impacts, the cameras (IP66 certified, NEMA Type 4X and IK10 rating) They are ideal for outdoor use and installation in critical environments such as airports and government buildings around the world.

The cameras are complemented by the Modular Alarm Platform intrusion panel (MAP) 5000 installed with LSN detectors, A large reused part of the legacy system, to protect Alfasigma's offices at night.

The Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series provides fire alarm with four loops, Processing Signals 190 fire alarm detectors and 28 Manual Call Points. The new fire alarm system is interfaced with the full voice alarm system via Smart Safety Link, Optimizing Operational Safety Through a Monitored Connection.

Successfully installed and customized to customer specifications, The Fire Alarm Solution, Intrusion detection and video security from Bosch, maintains the safety of employees and Alfasigma's property at both locations. It also accommodates future expansions in a modular IP-based system.
