Dallmeier to show in Transport Logistic 2019 the interaction between video technology and data management
The German manufacturer will attend the Munich fair, to show the combination of video technology systems, of sensors, data management and the intelligent use of AI elements.
At the fair Transport Logistic 2019, to be held in Munich (Germany) of the 4 To 7 June, Dallmeier present a broad portfolio of solutions for customers in the general cargo logistics sector, as well as the large logistics groups that are also part of the company's customer base.
The German manufacturer looks back at its more than 35 years of experience in camera development, recording systems and software. Solutions for customers in the logistics sector represent one of the main focuses of business strategy. The portfolio includes systems for the protection of property, the entry and exit areas, claims management, of patio and a wide range of logistics management systems, from real-time location of general merchandise to automatic volume calculation.
Recently, cooperation with SAP integrator T.CON has also been made public. Jointly developed solutions enable the transmission of a multitude of data directly from video systems to ERP systems and address essential challenges in supply chain areas, RR. HH. and compliance.
Dallmeier's cooperation with T.CON currently translates into two solutions for the supply chain area: the digital door and the measurement of general merchandise.
The first automates vehicle registration and consignment note management through an SAP Fiori-based self-service portal.
System recognizes vehicle classes, Vehicle registration, identification numbers and hazard types. As required, the system can be integrated into yard management and handling of hazardous substances. Load data in SAP is complemented by optically captured data using standard SAP objects. This ensures direct integration into SAP TM or LE-TRA (ECC 6.0).
For its part, General merchandise measurement solution allows load to be measured and weighed automatically using video systems and wireless scales, as well as integrating the data into SAP EWM or WM. Advantages range from optimal use of load capacities to coordinated stock entry and exit strategies, going through plausibility tests.
Intelligent edge with AI
For perimeter protection, Dallmeier combines Panomera camera technology with two-level object classification using neural networks. This makes it possible to reduce the number of false alarms to practically zero.
At the same time, the role of cameras changes: not only act as a verification system but assume most of the incident detection, requiring fewer systems for effective perimeter protection.
The combination of Dallmeier's video technology with proprietary modular process management software and a sensor system offers logistics companies a range of solutions.
The most significant are real-time location systems for general merchandise, thereby solving the problem of incorrectly placed or lost lumps, which in many medium-sized enterprises affects between five and ten percent of all general merchandise dispatched on the day.
With the Dallmeier system, the position of each shipment is known up to the decimeter at all times, from your entry to your exit. A similar system allows, among others, in large logistics companies the uninterrupted monitoring of packages and an investigation of thefts in accordance with data protection regulations.
Other solutions that can be seen at the Dallmeier stand are aimed at optimizing the efficiency of all processes, such as improved yard management and optimized vehicle control.
