The Pope's visit to Panama counted on Dahua, By Demes and Camibox for your safety
For the celebration of World Youth Day they settled in staff, buildings and telecommunications towers more than 60 Dahua dome and panoramic cameras. All of them were connected to a redundant Gigabit wireless network 10 Ghz.
At the end of January, Panama celebrated World Youth Day (Wyd), an event organized by the Catholic Church, who summons thousands of young people from all over the world, chaired by Pope Francis.
For a week, thousands of Catholics enjoyed a multitude of scheduled acts, whose development and security should be guaranteed by Panama City. For this challenge, By Demes Group collaborated with the wireless transmission manufacturer Camibox to implement a video surveillance solution that would ensure the visualization of the multiple scenarios located throughout Panama City.
For the event, a network of cameras was installed Dahua in staff, Buildings, telecommunication towers and the Jaguar, police's special rapid intervention vehicle. In addition, a redundant Gigabit wireless network 10 GHz formed the trunk to transmit the more than 60 cameras that, to UHD resolution, gave the police and army the vision of each act for decision-making in the face of potential risks.
Most of these cameras were 4K motorized domes with Starlight technology, laser lighting up to 500 meters and zoom of 40 And 48 increases at strategic points; as well as two 180-degree 4K panoramic teams that were located at the airport and the cathedral.
This infrastructure allowed to cover all areas without hidden areas and at maximum resolution.
Various operator posts were installed in the different control centres with connection to the central video wall of the C5 (Country Command Center), also with the presidential palace and other police stations that formed the network of police and military resources for the protection of citizens and the Pope.
According to Juan Ramos, CEO of Camibox Latam, collaboration with By Demes Group "has allowed us to carry out this project with the necessary support to face the part of CCTV of which we are not experts. With its direct support and the commissioning and training of its technical department we were able to carry out the installation of the system in record time".
