Logistics company Transfarmaco migrates its analogue security to a Vivotek IP solution
In order to improve stock control and improve the supervision of shipments and receipt of products, have been installed, in three of the logistics warehouses, more than a thousand Vivotek cameras of IP9171-HP models, IB9371-EHT, FE8180 and SD9364-EHL.
From 1972, Transpharmaceutical has been a provider of integrated logistics solutions and has targeted the safe and effective distribution of customers' products. To maintain your position in front of the competition, the company operates according to three strategic pillars: a unique infrastructure in Argentina with 150.000 square meters for storage; the intelligent use of technology to track each and every product; and a great availability of human resources, with approximately 1.300 people working to meet the specific and constantly changing needs of their customers.
Transfarmaco needed to improve stock control, shipments and receipt of products, as well as review specific loss processes.
Sara Amorim Costa, Regional Manager of Vivotek Argentina and Brazil, partnered with the integrator Lematron and the wholesale importer Selnet to analyze the situation and find a solution that addresses Transfarmaco needs. As a result, decided to replace existing analog technology with a Vivotek IP solution, made up of more than a thousand network cameras, in three of the company's logistics warehouses.
The chosen models have been the IP9171-HP box camera, bullet IB9371-EHT, FE8180 fisheye equipment and SD9364-EHL dome.
More than a thousand cameras installed
The IP9171-HP camera provides up to 30 fps to 3 megapixels with optimal image quality, in addition to offering a wide view in all the corridors. This solution, combined with H.265 and Smart Stream II technologies, has reduced bandwidth and disk storage demands by nearly a 80%, compared to previously installed H.264 compression technology.
By deploying WDR Pro and SNV, the camera has the ability to capture the dark and bright areas of an image, combining the differences to create a realistic representation of the original scene.
The model of 3 MP IB9371-EHT has been installed near storage areas, which are subject to high levels of sunlight and, therefore, also to large areas of shade. These professional day/night cameras are equipped with WDR Pro and SNV technology, allowing you to deliver high-quality images in any lighting condition.
IP66 rated housing ensures the ability to withstand rain and dust, allowing optimal operation in the most adverse weather conditions. Also, IK10 classification that provides protection against acts of vandalism and other acute impact instances.
For areas where products arrive and are shipped, the FE8180 fisheye chamber has been chosen, a low-profile team and 5 MP capable of managing more than eight views simultaneously. As a result, customer can reduce disk storage as well as hardware and software costs. Thanks to its design of 90 Mm, this camera can be easily integrated with any environment, and delivers the highest-level performance within the lowest profile.
Finally,, the SD9364-EHL dome has been selected to improve surveillance in large areas in low light. Equipped with IR illuminators 150 meters of range and a 30x optical zoom lens, provides crisp images under these challenging conditions. This camera also adopts Vivotek's Smart IR II technology, Vari-Angle IR, offering a uniform variable angle adjustment of IR illuminators, allowing for a wide-coverage FOV and highly uniform IR intensity while avoiding access points traditionally associated with IR lighting.
Both day and night, the dome works in conjunction with the IB9371-EHT cameras to have full visual coverage of vehicles within the complex.
