Synology opens new era in video surveillance management with Surveillance Station 8.2

With the iOS version already available, Surveillance Station 8.2 has LiveCam, a security camera app that instantly turns a spare phone into an IP device.

With new apps and features, Synology has completely revamped surveillance station's LiveCam 8.2 to deliver higher performance, in addition to adding ip speakers to the list of hardware compatibilities, as well as greater flexibility in application management.

Introducing Surveillance Synology 8.2 for iOS, laversion for Android will be available in October. "Thanks to the combination of LiveCam on iOS and the all-new version of DS cam, Surveillance Station has entered a mobile era with the transformation of the phone into a security camera and the availability of its video recordings in DS cam', explains Ivan Chang, Synology Product Manager.

• Full Application Center:the new add-on pack is called 'Application Center' and provides up to twenty-six applications and utilities. Using category filtering or keyword search you can quickly locate the application you are searching for and customize Surveillance Station.
• Revamped DS cam with optimal performance and compatibility:the next generation of DS Cam not only provides an enhanced viewing experience, but also multi-timeline capabilities to intuitively search for video images. In addition, with license authentication that is developed offline, the system installs faster.
• Compatible with IP speakers: Surveillance Station 8.2 can stream audio or programmed broadcasts on integrated IP speakers. In the installation of multiple speakers, individual or group broadcast is also available.
• Monitoring large projects with the Time Lapse feature: this time period application shortens long videos to minutes and even seconds; especially useful for displaying a large project from start to finish.
• Data protection with double authorization:is a more secure and flexible management measure.
