Bosch implements a comprehensive security solution at Craiova Stadium
Craiova's Ion Oblemenco Stadium has an integrated video security system that includes 211 Cameras, centrally managed from a single platform through BVMS.
Officially opened in October 2017, Ion Oblemenco Stadium, located in the Romanian city of Craiova, It is the most modern football field in the whole country with a capacity of more than 30.000 Seats.
Inspired by the art of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, It was built from scratch over the course of two and a half years at a total cost of 51 millions of euros. It is home to the football club CS Universitatea Craiova and ranked fourth on the Stadium DB Stadium of the Year website's list 2017.
The high-profile project was built to host international matches and the First Division not only for Romanian capital of Bucharest, but also in Jiu River City. For this reason, the municipality of Craiova required a solution that would meet the standards of the European Football Championship of 2020 and ensure safety during large events.
To carry out the project, the experts of Bosch installed a fire and safety solution composed of four fire panels and 1.500 Detectors. In addition, the stadium has been equipped with a sound system with speakers Electro Voice Pro Sound for musical ambience and commentary, Dynacord Promatrix for voice evacuation, Bosch speakers for indoor sound, as well as a conference and interpretation system for the press room.
Video surveillance
As far as video security infrastructure is concerned, the Ion Oblemenco stadium has an integrated video security system from Bosch that includes 211 Cameras, centrally managed from a single platform through an Enterprise version of the Bosch Video Management System (BVMS).
IP cameras satisfy a wide range of functions at entry and exit points, also in the areas surrounding the stadium. On the perimeter, 115 Dinion IP bullet cameras 5000 they guard the central avenues that lead to the stadium; while 86 discrete Flexidome IP 5000 monitor visitors.
For additional security, eight Autodome IP cameras 7000, two outside the stadium and six inside, protect the surroundings with Intelligent Video Analytics as standard.
Intelligent Video Analytics (Vat) allows 'smart' video surveillance functions. For example, Intelligent Tracking automatically captures moving objects based on predefined alarm rules. In addition to automatic tracking of moving objects according to predefined alarm rules, as loitering, security operators in Craiova can also manually track fan groups or follow specific individuals..
Control room
The video streams of the 211 Cameras are monitored from a central security room, attended by operators and members of the Romanian police during matches.
Video data is securely stored on two Divar IP network video recording units 7000 Bosch with a total storage capacity of 256 terabytes.
Recorders have integrated Video Recording Manager software (Vrm) to increase reliability, Reduce storage volumes and costs, thanks to the automatic balancing of the video stream to devices with free storage available.
Recording units also support scientific search, enabling security operators to quickly retrieve relevant video data from hours stored to provide irrefutable evidence.
How Bosch products comply with international guidelines, the stadium is fully certified to host matches of the First Division of the Romanian League, European League matches, Champions League and National Team matches.
As the first stadium in Romania built following the guidelines for the European football championship 2020, the Ion Oblemenco Stadium serves as a model for future projects planned for the 2020 and later.
