BNP Paribas Fortis migrates its security to an IP video solution with Sony

More than 4.400 SNC-EM630 minidome network IP cameras, SNC-EM631, SNC-EM600, SNC-EM601 and SNC-EM641. These integrate with Milestone Systems' XProtect Corporate IP VMS.

BNP Paribas Fortis is a banking group based in Europe that has more than 190.000 employees distributed by 74 Countries. Like other banks, is currently facing various threat vectors, as muggings, acts of vandalism and credit card fraud. Also, bank staff members need to protect themselves from potential aggressors.

Before, the bank relied on a group of analog CCTV cameras for video security systems. However, frequently, low image quality made it difficult to identify suspects, especially in low-light conditions or in areas with a very intense backlight, such as direct sunlight entering through a window or reflecting off wet soil.

In order to upgrade your current CCTV system, BNP Paribas Fortis chose to switch to a network video security solution based on IP cameras, to be able to integrate them directly into the existing network infrastructure and facilitate remote video monitoring.

In collaboration with security solution providers Seris Technology And Stanley Security Benelux, you have already installed more than 4.400 network IP cameras Sony at the bank's Belgian headquarters and in commercial buildings across the country.

Dome combination, minidomes and hemispheric

A combination of discreet minidome cameras (SNC-EM630, SNC-EM631, SNC-EM600, SNC-EM601 and SNC-EM641) protects BNP Paribas Fortis facilities. In addition, The cameras' Exmor R CMOS sensor ensures sharp images with HD or Full HD resolution, while the selected models offer IK10 levels of resistance to unwanted acts of sabotage and vandalism.

The SNC-HM662 hemispherical cameras offer a panoramic view of 360 degrees in ATM areas and bank lobbies. In addition to deterring unauthorized persons, provides situational awareness to detect potentially aggressive customers who may pose a threat to employees.

Protected from adverse weather conditions and vandalism, Robust SNC-WR602 and SNC-WR632C dome cameras allow uninterrupted monitoring of outdoor areas. High dynamic range ensures clear images in a wide variety of lighting conditions, because they adapt to extreme conditions of light and shadow within the same scene.

Cameras are integrated using the video management software platform (Vms) XProtect Corporate IP by Milestone Systems What, designed for critical security applications in large-scale installations, allows you to successfully manage recordings and video sharing from numerous sites.
