Bosch improves the Paviro system with IP technology for use in large installations
This public address and voice evacuation system has new features for easier use and execution using existing networks in building infrastructure.
The Paviro system of public address and voice evacuation of Bosch Security now offers new hardware and software features that improve its usability and execution in larger installations. Thanks to IP technology, it's a flexible solution, reliable and safe, with high audio quality and minimal waiting times.
How installers can use existing networks in building infrastructure, IP technology results in faster installation and reduced installation costs. In addition, Paviro can interface with other devices thanks to the IP protocol, allowing for remote control, efficient diagnosis and maintenance via the internet.
The IP functionality and connectivity of this public address and voice evacuation system are achieved through the Dante network interface module (OM-1) by Bosch, recently featured on the market, so it's now possible to create a sixteen-channel Dante audio network between individual controllers.
In addition, such functionality not only increases the size, but also the IP architecture allows users to create multicontroller network topologies for larger areas across up to four decentralized controllers, which translates into less wiring, and therefore an important savings factor in large facilities.
At the maximum level of configuration, the Paviro system now encompasses up to 984 Areas, with a total of 164.000 watts of amplification power in a system, suitable for larger installations where a large number of differentiated areas and speakers are required. It also responds to the needs of existing facilities whenever the building's infrastructure changes and additional rooms must be serviced.
Also, network configuration provides redundant channels for security purposes (in case of emergency such channels would always work to give evacuation signals, even if the controller lost network communication). Other improvements to this system, EN 54-certified voice evacuation certificate, is that it now includes speaker area monitoring and thirty minutes of flash memory for recording evacuation notices.
