Schneider EcoStruxure Security Expert: integrated security management solution
This tool combines software and hardware with IP technology. Enables it to converge security and IT, merging data from key security systems including video surveillance, intrusion detection, access control and alarm management.
EcoStruxure Security Expert is the latest addition Schneider Electric to its open plug-and-play architecture enabled for the Internet of Things (We), EcoStruxure. An integrated security management solution that provides high-performance access control and intrusion detection functionality to ensure the safest possible construction environment.
EcoStruxure architecture offers comprehensive solutions in six areas of expertise: Energy, Information technology (You), Buildings, Machinery, factories and power grids, for four final markets: Buildings, data centers, industry and infrastructure.
EcoStruxure Security Expert combines software and hardware with IP technology. Enables it to converge security and IT, merging data from key security systems including video surveillance, intrusion detection, access control and alarm management.
Its technology also integrates with the SmartStruxure building management system (Bms) by Schneider Electric, powered by StruxureWare Building Operation software, that allows you to make clearer decisions, faster responses and maximum efficiency of the facilities.
Building security data creation is available through easy-to-use interfaces spanning workstations, web stations and mobile devices.
This solution is ideal for a wide variety of environments including hospitals, data centers, hotels and commercial buildings, as well as large businesses and small and medium-sized facilities.
“Security Expert marks an evolution of smart building integration that aligns security and IT to improve efficiency and performance. By uniting building systems and security, previously dissexed, facility managers and security personnel can work more effectively, better manage emergency situations and obtain information that leads to improved construction efficiency", comments on the building”, said Puneet Dhiman, Schneider Electric's Global Director of Security Offer Management.
Traditional building safety and automation systems operate independently, which often entails limitations and custom constructions that are costly to develop and maintain. With EcoStruxure Security Expert, organizations can share encrypted information between their central security systems and building for new levels of efficiency.
For example, employee data can be shared between an organization's security and human resources systems to automatically grant employees access to relevant areas within the facility. In addition, security systems can alert the BMS to the occupation of the building and that lighting systems, HVAC and other building systems can be managed efficiently, generating energy and cost savings.
