This system offers a high-performance monitoring platform especially suitable for use in K-12 projects, university campuses, Hospitals, public buildings and business centres.

Extreme Networks AP3916 diode

The tech wholesaler Diode, through its automatic identification division, announced the availability of the wireless access point (Wap) 3916 of Extreme Networks, incorporating a camera 2 MP to offer a high-performance surveillance solution with lower installation costs, wiring and power.

This system provides Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11ac Wave 2 and 802.11abgn) and video via an Ethernet link. This indoor access point provides security services in K-12 projects, university campuses, Hospitals, public buildings and business centres.

Despite its ease of installation, AP3916 offers a wide range of connectivity options, such as 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi and BLE/802.15.4 radio (support for Thread and other protocols), to expand the connection to sensors and Internet of Things devices (We).

The video camera provides a wide view of the service area and incorporates infrared visibility and one-way microphone to capture images and sounds in security or surveillance systems. The video signal from 2 MP can be sent to any Onvif-compliant digital video recorder for viewing and file.

AP3916 provides up to 1.2 Gbps over-the-air performance (Ota) and even 50.000 packets per second on the wired port, with an exclusive architecture that brings the demanded performance, even when a Layer service is required 7. Supports secure connectivity to ExtremeCloud, cloud-based management of wired and wireless network components. In addition, Zero touch provisioning feature significantly reduces deployment time.
