Axis improves its Zipstream compression technology by reducing bandwidth

The aim of this advance is to respond to the increased data storage and transmission needs associated with 360° panoramic cameras and 4K resolution. The manufacturer has developed two domes that already integrate this technology, to be shown at Ifsec International 2017 of the 20 To 22 June.

Zipstream technology from Axis Adds new features to the network video surveillance environment to ensure that details of video recordings are preserved, that are important for investigations, while reducing bandwidth and storage requirements by a 50% or more than average.

The manufacturer has also introduced two new network cameras – fixed mini domes, Fisheye type, M3047-P and M3048-P – incorporating enhanced Zipstream technology to deliver 360° coverage at a cost-adjusted. These devices, smaller in size than its predecessors, they are flat and discreet, without any dome over the lens, so they can go more unnoticed and there is no risk of reflections.

Both cameras, which will be shown in detail in Ifsec International 2017, of the 20 To 22 at the ExCeL convention centre in London, They can incorporate housings that are tamper-proof or mimic smoke detectors (Also available in black), in addition to the possibility of applying the correction of spherical aberration, both in the chamber and in the client.

Both the M3047-P, with a 6 Megapixel, as M3048-P, with a 12 Megapixel, provide optimal image quality, with high levels of sharpness and sensitivity to light. Unlike previous devices, Those fixed mini domes deliver video at the highest frame rate.
