Vivotek joins HEVC Advance's H.265 video compression licensing program

The manufacturer of security systems becomes a licensee of HEVC Advance's H.265 program to promote and install this video compression standard to improve IP surveillance solutions.

As the new official licensee of the HEVC/H.265 programme, Vivotek will also have access to a wide range of patents to implement H.265 video compression technology, that significantly improves quality, bandwidth and storage than the H.264 standard, in your network security solutions and projects, as well as in strategic agreements.

This has been pointed out by Peter Moller, Managing Director of HEVC Advance: "As one of the best network and device security solutions, we are very pleased that Vivotek works with us to introduce higher bandwidth, storage and high resolution of HEVC/H.265 technology in the surveillance market, while adding value to its customers with HEVC pooled patents".
