LLC Konus Ukraine and Vivotek ensure the safety of Nikolaev Zoo species
THE IP video surveillance infrastructure is integrated by NVR ND9541, FD8369A-V and MS8391-EV network cameras, PoE AW-FET switches-050To-065 and AW-FED-0500-065 and POE AP-FIC injectors-010B-015.
The LLC Konus Ukraine the first phase of the installation of a video surveillance system at Nikolaev Zoo has been completed, one of the oldest in Ukraine. More than a hundred years old, its facilities cover an area of 18,48 hectares and, Currently, more than 6.029 animals of 475 species of which almost half are endangered.
The new surveillance system has been installed to maximize the coverage of critical areas and lay the foundation for the expansion of the system that requires high performance and interoperability components., in addition to being prepared for future expansion.
Nikolaev Zoo accepted the concept proposed by LLC Konus Ukraine which was based on the equipment of Vivotek, including the ND9541 network video recorder, FD8369A-V and MS8391-EV network cameras, AW-FET network PoE switches-050To-065 and AW-FED-0500-065 and POE AP-FIC injectors-010B-015.
Equipped to withstand up to 32 Channels, ND9541 Network Video Recorder, supports H.264/H.265 video compression technology and, to ensure the secure storage of all data, has RAID configuration 0/1/5. With this device, zoo security personnel can monitor the safety of endangered animals and zoo staff.
In order to ensure the continued operation of the zoo's security system under any conditions, the FD8369A-V fixed dome type network camera was chosen, which has a vandal-proof IK10 rated cover.
Special metal structures were used to mount the cameras, which facilitated its installation in places that offer maximum coverage while achieving an unnoticed inclusion of cameras in the landscape of the zoo.
In addition to the video surveillance system, LLC distributor Konus Ukraine and Vivotek donated the MS8391-EV multi-sensor network camera to Nikolaev Zoo. A model that provides a panoramic resolution of 7,552х1,416 without geometric distortions in the image.
Vivotek engineers achieved these results by combining several cameras in a single housing and joining several visual threads into a single integral sequence.. The MS8391-EV camera was strategically placed in front of the main entrance of the zoo, allowing everyone to enjoy the beauty of Nikolaev and the festivals and performances that are held for visitors.
Among the future plans it is planned that the IP surveillance system of Vivotek IP will also be used for promotion and entertainment; and during this year it will be integrated with the surveillance systems of the 'Safe City' project. This is possible thanks to the fact that the equipment used meets the Onvif specifications..
Moreover, in order to promote urban projects, images of some of the zoo's areas are planned to be disseminated on the zoo's website as well as on the city's network resources..
