Sony completes its camera line with Exmor R CMOS sensors for urban surveillance
Eight are the novelties that it has incorporated into its range and that belong to the V and E families. Teams that offer a resolution of 1080p at 60 provide security professionals with crisp details and greater visibility, thanks to low-light sensitivity.
To complete its sixth generation (G6) network cameras Sony announced the release of eight new Full HD video surveillance cameras, belonging to the V Series (SNC-VB640, SNC-VB642D, SNC-VM641 and SNC-VM642R) and E (SNC-EB640, SNC-EB642R, SNC-EM641, SNC-EM642R).
These equipments offer a resolution of 1080p 60 Fps, with high sensitivity, View-DR and Easy focus technology. Thanks to advanced imaging technology, these cameras provide security professionals with crisp details and greater visibility, thanks to low-light sensitivity, ideal for a wide range of applications including urban surveillance, commercial and transport.
Also, Sony's latest video surveillance innovations incorporate high-performance image sensors, image lenses and processors. They can capture images beyond the reach of conventional security cameras, providing greater visibility and better accuracy.
This improved sensitivity is made possible by the Exmor R and eXcellent Dynamic Noise Reduction CMOS sensor (XDNR), that offer optimal sharpness without noise or double image, so you get the minimum illumination of 0,006 Lux (30Ire) And 0,01 Lux (50Ire).
Sensitivity capabilities ensure that image color integrity is maintained even in low-light conditions, allowing operators easier identification. This capability in low-light environments is especially valuable in applications such as urban surveillance at night, of which there is growing demand in the video surveillance sector.
Security professionals can capture objects in dark conditions from a distance of up to 100 meters with the V-series and up to 60 with the E-Series. This extended coverage is made possible by the inclusion of the Exmor R CMOS sensor, What, along with the built-in IR illuminator, ensures they are able to capture high-quality infrared images without overexposure. This feature provides more accurate and informative images, which helps them make faster, smarter decisions.
These equipments also include SD cards and audio 2 Way. The first is an optional backup option in the event of a network outage, when the connection is lost. With the audio of 2 Way, remote intercom and recording functions are available.
“Investing in these technologies is to meet the new needs of our customers, with features that help users improve accuracy and make faster decisions, from improving visibility in low-light environments to an expanded range”, explains Roger Lawrence, Sony Professional Solutions Europe's video surveillance product manager.
