Synology Surveillance Station 8.0

Synology already has available the beta version of its video surveillance solution Surveillance Station 8.0 that has a new desktop client and improves the configuration of failover in CMS.

Among the new features that incorporates Surveillance Station 8.0 Beta client station is located, multiple steaming, advanced action rule, automatic fault recovery, new codecs and vs360HD firmware update.

In addition to having live viewing and managing channels within browsers, now users can install Surveillance Station Client and enjoy a live viewing twice as fast and a smoother experience, freeing you from any browser limitations.

With the multiple streaming function you can make automatic and manual resolution adjustments depending on the size of the monitoring window or the event displayed, saving user bandwidth consumption when working with multiple channels.

This beta release includes action rules and advanced events to automate the surveillance system. By using flexible logical operators and handling multiple events, actions can be triggered when one or all of the predefined criteria are met.

Synology Surveillance Station 8.0

Users can enable cms failover for Surveillance Station 8.0 Beta. This allows them to enjoy a solid surveillance structure, minimizing downtime, requiring the use of fewer servers, and with a lower investment in costs and management.

Surveillance Station 8.0 beta supports the new h.265 codec, allowing users to use more cameras and choose from them while offering live viewing and recording. All of this, consuming a 25% less bandwidth and with a faster streaming experience. It also supports Hikvision's optimized H.264+ and Zavio's Smart Stream.

Finally,, VS360HD firmware has been updated so that users connect freely to the NAS and can manage almost all the features of the surveillance station from there. QuickConnect ID and HTTPS connections are also supported to allow access to Surveillance Station from anywhere in the world.

Synology has encouraged beta testers from around the world to participate in its testing program. The company will collect comments and suggestions from its users, and will take them into account for the official launch of your video surveillance solution.
