Hikvision technology to protect gemstones at Mani Yadanar Jade Hall
This convention center, where jade is stored, rubies and sapphires and celebrating the world's most important jewellery sales, has migrated its security system to an IP one with the technology of this manufacturer, with the installation of 161 network cameras and recording systems 32 Channels, that secure the whole enclosure.
The Republic of the Union of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma - Myanmar), in Southeast Asia, is known for the production of nearly 90% jade and gemstones (Rubies, Sapphire,...) of the world, as well as the quality of its gems, that reach record prices at international auctions.
Some of the biggest sales in this regard are made at the Mani Yadanar Jade Hall Convention Center, located in Nay Pyi Taw, the country's capital, a great community where three times a year this type of event is held, attended by the world's largest jewellery entrepreneurs and which has gas department stores.
Given the activity of the center, the safety of the complex and the protection of precious stones, it's a vital aspect, which until recently was based on a CCTV installed in 2011, composed of 142 video surveillance cameras, but that in just four years it had become obsolete in terms of image quality by the degradation of long-distance coaxial cables and DC power, as well as the Leds of the devices.
The leaders of the venue convened, through local company Nawarat Global Technology, to the top ten digital security companies in the world in order to install a network-based video surveillance system that was to be operational by mid-June last year, before the next jewellery convention.
The final selection was for IP technology Hikvision, with a system made up of 161 network cameras, connected to five NVRs of 32 channels each from this same provider, located in the resort's control room, in addition to three other MNIs located in a secondary control room, through more than 3,5 Km of shielded fiber cables, with electrical wiring for the centralized power supply.
A total of 54 Hikvision IP cameras are responsible for the continuous monitoring of the three floors of the Jade Room, while the rest of the devices (more than a hundred) are used to monitor 97.125 square meters of surface of this complex. The vast majority of cameras are bullet-type, DS-2CD2T32-I5, of 3 Megapixel, from this provider, which are also added to a wide range of minidomes, vandal-free and PTZ systems.
As Thar Tun explains, head of myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneur Association's systems integration department, owners of the Mani Yadanar Jade Hall complex, "when we renew the security system, with an effective solution that met all of our requirements, we also wanted customers to be able to see live images of jewelry inside the room with a system capable of providing live broadcasts on two centralized television screens on the safety net".
One of the challenges during the security system integration process focused on connecting the exterior buildings surrounding the Jade Hall within the complex. "The solution was to deploy underground fiber cables, through the channels that communicate all these buildings from a centralized power supply," Says Tun-. In total, have been more than 3,5 Km of fiber wiring 4, 12 And 24 Nuclei, all accompanied by electric cable 3 threads for the centralized system, with more than 12 Km network cable for IP cameras".
The selection of the bullet model 3 Hikvision DS-2CD2T32-I5 megapixels as the mainstay of the video surveillance system, Tun highlights "its range of infrared 80 Meters, specially designed for low-light environments with high performance and day/night image quality, in addition to its 3D noise reduction functions, Digital WDR and IP66 weatherproof housing".
Hikvision DS-2CD2T32-I5 also incorporates a wide variety of smart alarm activation, including intrusion and motion detection; dynamic analysis, tamper alarm; network disconnection, among other features.
The venue's control centre has twelve LED television screens 42 Inch, five DS-9632NI-XT NVR systems 32 Channels, each equipped with sixteen hard drives 4 Tb, "allowing jade Hall's security department to store footage for up to three months," this manager stresses.. This centre has 24 monitoring×7 with a team of six people".
In addition to this center, three additional control rooms have been installed inside the complex, two of them are in the main accesses and the third in the main management office, located in Jade Hall, that feature a DS-7732NI-ST NVR with two hard drives 4 TB and a LED display 32.
Installed in time for the next convention as required, the new security system "has been a success and has exponentially increased security efficiency thanks to Smart Hikvision technology, making the work of our security teams much easier, with features such as intrusion detection and motion detection, with high image quality".
