Istanbul's Meydan Shopping Centre monitors its facilities with 350 Samsung WiseNetIII cameras

The 350 WiseNetIII Full HD network cameras 2 Samsung Techwin MP that have been installed at Meydan Mall include fixed SNB-6004P, as well as the SNV-6084R and SNP-6200RH domes. Images are recorded on SRN-4000 network VCRs and all video infrastructure is managed with Samsung Central Management software.

With a surface of 128.000 square meters, Meydan is one of Turkey's largest shopping malls. Every year, more than 25 millions of customers make their purchases in the more than 70 stores of national and international brands. In addition, the center has restaurants, cafes and a modern cinema with a capacity for 2.500 People.

The mall, who is Leed certified (energy leadership and environmentally friendly design), has been awarded on numerous occasions for its architectural design and sustainability.

The center's management team made the decision to replace the old analog video surveillance system with an IP network system that would take advantage of all the advantages offered by the latest technological advances. NFS Teknoloji, distributor of Samsung Techwin Europe in Turkey, supplied the cameras that were installed by integrator Nemesis Elektronik.

Images captured by cameras are recorded on Samsung SRN-4000 network VCRs, incorporating hot-swappable hard drives, RAID5 and RAID6 compatible. Operators can view both live and recorded images, thanks to Samsung Central Management software.
