SPEC Group and Octime add technologies and business to lead the access control sector

Both technology companies have added knowledge and business to develop as a single group solutions in access control environments, time management and planning, in which they are specialists.

Spanish technology SPEC Group, based in Barcelona, and the French Octime have signed an alliance in the sectors in which they are experts to form a new business group.

The first is specialized in the development of access control and schedule software, with more than 4.000 customers in the world, while the second is a benchmark in planning software and working time, with a base of 1.600 customers and 8.000 installed centers.

This alliance, in the words of Joan Parés, founder of Grupo Spec, arises from the search for a developer "that would allow us to increase and strengthen our offer of products and services for our customers. Octime is a leader in a complementary sector and, turn, strategic".

After the signing of the agreement, the new group formed under the name SPEC-Octime Group, becomes a European benchmark in the sector, With 15,3 million turnover, presence in 40 countries and offices in Spain, Argentina, France and Portugal.

In addition, the new business group has 2,5 millions of users worldwide and 5.600 active customers.
