Kuwait refineries install centralized evacuation system with Bosch Praesideo

In an attempt to improve employee safety and optimize processes, Kuwait KNPC has implemented an evacuation system in each of its refineries, based on the Bosch Praesideo solution, networked and managed from the emergency control center.

Kuwaiti KNPC has opted to Bosch to update the evacuation system for each of its refineries. The company in charge of this project has been Knetco that has designed and implemented a solution based on the bosch Praesideo digital public address and evacuation system.

The project has consisted of the installation of 4.500 speakers and ceiling speakers, 212 amplifiers and seven network controllers. Divided into eight independent addressable zones, the system covers buildings of office, control workshops and workshops.

To allow the plant to control, monitor and issue emergency messages, all Praesideo systems in individual refineries have been connected to the operator's emergency control center in the head office building.

The connection has been deployed using existing network infrastructure so no costly wiring has been required. Being based on open standards, the whole solution has been easily integrated with the existing siren system.
