Planet Technology unveils its new wireless IP camera 2 MP with fisheye lens
ICA-W8200 is Planet Technology's new network camera, represented in the Iberian and Chilean markets by Anatronic, incorporating a sensor 2 Megapixels and fisheye lens to display images from four different angles of an indoor installation.
Suitable for video surveillance tasks in the retail sector, Catering and medium-sized enclosed spaces, the new ICA-W8200 wireless IP camera from the Taiwanese manufacturer Planet Technology, whose products it sells Anatronic in Spain, Portugal and Chile, that supports H.264 compression formats, MPEG-4 and JPEG and develops an image quality of up to 1,440×1.440p a 15 frames per second (Fps).
By incorporating a sensor with a resolution of 2 Mp, This wireless fish-eye IP camera offers high image quality, as well as panoramic view with 180º quad view in wall and surround installation (Surround Video) 360° when mounted on the ceiling to simultaneously display monitoring and recording images from four different angles of a facility.
Thanks to this extensive video surveillance coverage, users have to install fewer IP cameras, and, therefore, Assembly and maintenance costs are reduced, since the customer can monitor all angles of a location with a single camera.
The fisheye's "distorted hemispheric image" becomes a conventional "rectilinear" projection, as they point out from the company, while distortion correction can fix the video in such a way that e-PTZ is used to zoom in or out to reach large areas or details.
Another advantage for the customer is that this device does not require an additional installation of software to display the live image or to use functions such as motion detection and "sabotage", as it is done through the web interface.
With powerful image processing capabilities, as a wide dynamic range (Wdr) and noise reduction (Dnr), This device from Planet Technology can filter the backlight that "surrounds" a subject and suppress noise from the video signal to display a clear and crisp image under any lighting conditions.
The ICA-W8200 features an automatic, removable infrared-cut filter that allows color video to be delivered when there is sufficient light, as well as black and white in dark conditions. It also includes functions such as DI/DO alarm, micro SD card support for local storage and two-way audio for communication between local and remote locations via microphone and speaker, and can even be used in video conferencing with two-way audio.
Its web-based management interface makes it easy to configure detection windows. Users have full control over the object and sensitivity of this window, so the camera can send notifications, Alerts and even real-time images via email.
This device adopts IEEE 802.11n wireless technology to communicate the maximum wireless signal ratio and ensure secure transmission with WEP and WPA encryption. ICA-W8200 is compatible with the Onvif standard, It also includes central management software. 64 Channels to simplify remote maintenance and monitoring.
