Digital Video Surveillance at the Casino
The security director of the Casino Gran Madrid also participated in this conference with the partners, Ángel Pérez Alcarria, who explained the advantages they have achieved with the installation of 250 Axis network cameras to "offer security inside and, Mainly, Control the gaming tables, where you can't lose any frame and that can only be achieved with cutting-edge technology and high image quality like the one we have deployed in the casino".
Pérez Alcarria highlighted in this regard the work of a gaming facility, "that cannot be compared to anything, since the way of working is different and transparency and constant visibility are needed to guarantee customers that everything is working correctly at the gaming tables and in the lounges, and in this aspect, security and an expert and qualified team are essential to detect any detail".
Choosing the right video surveillance technology has not been easy, "Since we have to work with the lighting of the classrooms, warmer, and that of the gaming tables, with a brighter light but that cannot dazzle the dealer or the customer, while eliminating all reflections so that the images captured by the cameras are sharp and noise-free. To do this, hundreds of tests are carried out and the best location of the devices and lighting is achieved, a challenge that we have solved with Axis technology".
In addition to the identification systems at the entrance to the casino to prevent unauthorized access and state-of-the-art recording systems, Ángel Pérez stressed the work of the security team "which is one of the most numerous and where, as well as guards and other professionals, The work of physiognomists is fundamental, since they are specialists in retaining the features of the people who are in the room or identifying suspicious movements and gestures".
A camera has been placed on each of the gaming tables, whose images are recorded and permanently displayed from the operator and physiognome center, so that if a customer complains about a play, You can check the whole process followed and clarify the situation.
