Banco Santander Brasil implements Vector's biometric solutions to reduce identity fraud
Vector has installed its biometric fingerprint solution in the office channel and ATMs of Banco Santander in Brazil to reduce identity and authorization fraud, in addition to allowing the identification of internal and external fraudsters. Throughout this year it will also implement its Biocube solution in the branches.
Vector has worked on a project together with Banco Santander of Brazil to implement biometric technology for the identification and authentication of clients and for the signing of their operations in different channels.
For Vector, there are many benefits that biometrics bring to both the banking user and the financial institution. If we take into account the user, this technology provides the convenience of not having to remember keys, increases the perception of security and facilitates processes.
Banco Santander Brasil has implemented fingerprint biometrics in the office channel and at its ATMs, using Vector's biometric solution with which you can reduce identity fraud, channel authorisation fraud and improve the identification of internal/external fraudsters.
Vector implements finger print biometric technology as it is the most standard and has been adopted in state utilities around the world and most financial institutions. The architecture of the solution allows the incorporation of other biometric techniques when the client demands it.
The implementation of Vector, which is currently in real operation in offices and ATMs, provides the bank with security, robustness and efficiency. The registration process of the users is done in an assisted way in the position of the branch manager and the capacity of the verification solution is used 1:N, with which the entity is protected, among other types of fraud, of phishing, preventing a criminal from registering or formalizing contracts, more than once, with false identities.
Vector's solution allows integration with different centralized managers of biometric patterns, and pilots have been made in Santander Brazil with several of them. Throughout this year they plan to expand the use of biometrics in both branches and ATMs, incorporating vector's Biocube product as a centralized pattern manager.
