Qnap Security introduces the new version 4.2.0 firmware for your VioStor NVR recorders

Among the new improvements that Qnap Security has incorporated in the 4.2.0 vioStor recorder operating system highlights flexibility in deploying a video surveillance solution in enterprise environments.

Qnap Security, Taiwan-based professional Linux-based NVR provider, has the new firmware available 4.2.0 for its viostor range of recorders, compatible with Internet Explorer 11 and with an improved smart recording feature that supports more IP cameras, and compatibility with a wider range of network cameras and UPS (unbroken power supply system) to provide more flexibility in deploying a video surveillance solution in enterprise environments

Faced with the growing popularity of Internet Explorer 11, QNAP Security has updated its firmware so users can manage their VioStor NVR video surveillance systems through the latest version of Microsoft's browser and enjoy the new features it offers.

VioStor NVR firmware v4.2.0 is also compatible with 41 new models of IP cameras that support smart recording function, allowing you to record video in standard resolution during periods of conventional recording, and in high resolution automatically when alarms are triggered, which significantly reduces the cost of investing in hard drives for recording storage, while providing high-resolution video testing of the most critical moments.
