Samsung Techwin brings a complete IP video surveillance solution to Moscow's Paveletskaya Plaza business complex

Samsung Techwin network cameras are the heart of the IP video surveillance project carried out in Paveletskaya Plaza, one of the most prestigious business centers in Moscow, installed by specialist Yecons Technology Solutions.

Despite the international financial crisis, Russia's economy is enjoying strong growth and this is reflected in the strong demand for offices from both international organizations and local Moscow businesses., to the point that forecasts for the end of 2014, is that the capital of Russia has four of the five tallest buildings in Europe.

Among these construction projects is the Paveletskaya Plaza complex., designed in the architectural style of the adjacent Paveletskaya railway station. With these dimensions, the installation of a security and video surveillance system was a fundamental element for the protection of personnel, visitors and facilities; project that was entrusted to YeconsTechnology Solutions, specialist in electronic security and networks.

Complete and tailor-made solution

For this project, Yecons Technology Solutions did not hesitate to request all the necessary components for the video surveillance system from a single supplier, Samsung Techwin, one of the fastest growing electronic security manufacturers currently in Russia and whose equipment it had already installed in other large projects.

The Yecons Technology Solutions design team worked closely with Samsung Techwin's local pre-sales support team.; examined in detail each of the locations that would need a camera and recommended the most suitable models for each location.

In order to allow security personnel to supervise without interruption all the activities of the buildings of the Paveletskaya Plaza complex and its surroundings, settled in 228 Cameras, network video recorders (Nvr) and Samsung Techwin monitors.

"In some locations where it was necessary to be able to identify unexpected visitors, we recommend that full HD camera models be installed 3 Megapixel, able to offer images with expert evidence quality, and that will have advanced technical features such as intelligent video analysis (Vat) and facial detection -points out Yusuf Yesilova-. However, for most locations it was enough to install cameras 1,3 Megapixel, capable of capturing high-definition images with a quality that seamlessly met customer requirements. In this sense, the Paveletskaya Plaza complex features Samsung Techwin cameras on all floors of the three buildings, as well as in the elevators and reception and parking areas. Of the 228 networked devices installed, 124 are of the model SND-5010, With 1,3 Megapixel, which are part of the LifeNet range, designed to offer an affordable HD video surveillance solution for environments with limited space and compliance with Onvif regulations.

To this are added 89 SNB-5000 cameras, equipped with intelligent video analytics (Vat) built-in free license, as well as anti-sabotage function, optical integrity controller, I/O direction detection and appear/disappear function to detect moving objects.

As for the rest of the installed IP cameras, eight correspond to the model SNB-6004, capable of recording full HD images (1.080Q) of 2 Megapixels with optimal quality and that is part of the range of cameras WiseNetIII of Samsung Techwin; and seven others are of the SND-7080 model, a full HD network dome of 3 Megapixels and 3~8mm motorized varifocal lens.

Uninterrupted monitoring

Images from the cameras are transmitted over LAN to a central control room, where the operators of the Paveletskaya Plaza complex supervise them live 24×7, who can also direct security personnel who are patrolling to the exact point where an incident or suspicious activity is occurring.

At the same time, images are recorded on one of Samsung Techwin's eight SRN-1000 NVRs supplied for this project, offering up to an internal video storage capacity of up to 24 Tb, that can be increased in others 24 MORE TB via two external direct storage e-Sata devices, and also support Raid storage 5.
