Panda Security is a Spanish multinational that develops security and management solutions to protect and manage systems, in addition to being a pioneer in addressing the concept of security in the cloud. According to the latest Gartner report, January 2014 on job protection platforms, Panda Security has evolved from the 'niche players' quadrant to the 'visionaries' quadrant.
Panda Security's offer, which is now added to the Tech Data portfolio, contemplates security solutions (PCOP, Panda Cloud Office Protection) and management (PCSM, Panda Cloud System Management)) from the cloud for any type of device, as well as the perimeter protection part offered by GateDefender appliances.
Tech Data will contribute its resources for the implementation and development of the new Panda Software channel program, which establishes three categories of partnership: Business Partner, Premier Partner and Elite Partner.
The Panda Partner Program is aimed at cloud service distributors who want to add value to their customers, regardless of size and activity. With this new strategy, Panda Security seeks to double the business from its wholesalers in Spain, and plans to increase by around one 40% the number of active partners developing managed services.
"With this new initiative, that bets on the 100% by the distribution channel, we want to consolidate our sales strategy for the Spanish market with a centralized model in wholesalers, to achieve greater volume and capillarity", explains Emilio Castellote, Panda Security Channel Director. "We believe this agreement will help us achieve our goal of growing by around 8% this year.".
