Honeywell Security updates Galaxy Flex with a hybrid intrusion/access control panel with remote management
Honeywell Security's new version of Honeywell Security's Galaxy Flex installer solution incorporates a smartphone app and firmware improvements, in addition to integrating a hybrid intrusion and access control panel with a new compact design with metal box.
Galaxy Flex is a standard solution for installers developed by Honeywell Security for SMEs, small businesses and residential environments, that now the company has updated with a hybrid intrusion and access control panel and the Galaxy Mobile app for remote management.
To this update is added a new mode of 'night arming' to create an extra independent security area, offering protection at night. This function allows to 'arm' only the sensors necessary to protect the perimeter or poorly traveled areas of an office, trade or residence.
Honeywell has also incorporated into Galaxy Flex a silent mode that eliminates audible tones during assembly, allowing users to assemble the system without disturbing other people in the home.
New firmware offers configuration wizard for configuration parameters, which makes it easier for the installer to program the communication routes (RTC, IP and/or GPRS) with an Alarm Receiving Center (Rca), without the need for extensive training and with the consequent saving of time.
Galaxy Flex now has a new panel option in a compact and smaller metal case, which is an ideal solution for installations that do not require additional elements to the basic panel and in which the availability of space is limited in commercial and residential environments.
For its part, The Galaxy Flex app makes it easy for the user to remotely access the system, anytime, anywhere, through your mobile devices to check system status, armed and disarmed, group control, Outputs, in addition to providing detailed event log information.
This application offers installers added advantages, as it reduces the support customers need, since they now have a simple way to access information and interact with the security system.
As Noelia Castillón points out, southern europe channel marketing manager at Honeywell Security Group, "Technological advances have changed consumer behavior. With our latest version of Galaxy Flex you can manage the security system remotely through smartphones and tablets thanks to an app".
